What Sets Us Apart: Some of Our Distinctives

As a local church we might differ from the church down the road in the following ways...

We are Bible Focused / We believe that Scripture alone is our authority for faith and practice.

We are Christ Centered / Our devotion, worship and attention is centered on Jesus Christ, who is Savior, Lord, Teacher and Friend. We believe that we are called to put our faith in Christ, then through the ministries of His Spirit, Word and Church to become His followers and disciples.

We are Evangelical / We believe in the need for each person to find peace with God through the message of the Gospel, to establish and maintain a relationship with Him by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

We are Servant Led / We believe that servanthood is the proper attitude of leadership. Leaders are to follow the example of Christ, who is the ultimate Servant-Leader.

Pastor Mike Brown
Senior Pastor

Pastor Mike and Cindy came here from Kansas City, Missouri, in 1985. Mike recieved his Bachelors degree in Pastoral Studies from Calvary Bible College, and a Masters in Ministry from Moody Bible Institute. Their family consists of a son, Chris, daughter-in-law Tina, and two wonderful granddaughters all of whom attend South Side Bible Church.

Pastor Rick McNally
Associate Pastor of Family Ministries

Pastor Rick was born and raised in Battle Creek, growing up on the North Side. He attended Moody Bible Institute and holds a BA in Bible Theology. Rick has been in Youth Ministry for over 15 years. Rick and his wife Katherine have five children; Robin, Jamison, Kegan, Josiah, and Molly Kate.
